    The Course
Parkland course designed and laid out by Willie Park, with two holes running along the banks of the River Gala. Peaceful and scenic setting. Golfers will find it testing but fair with tight fairways and small greens. A challenge to all levels of golfers.

    Best Holes
11th 419yds. The Monkey Puzzle Hole. Big hitters cannot cut the corner on this dogleg left par 4 and the drivers should be middle right for a second to the green guarded by the tree that gives this hole it's name.
14th 522yds. This dogleg right is played off an elevated tee, but the second shot for position is most important. Out of bounds on the right and trees and bunkers on the left.

    The Clubhouse
A nice modern building with plenty of room in the public areas. Ladies facilities including footbath, washhand basin and toilets, gents also have showers. The lounge bar has two indoor rooms and outdoor area. Snacks and bar lunches available everyday except Tuesday, from noon-2.30pm and there is catering in the evening. Golfing accessories for sale and trolleys for hire.

How to get to the Course
From Galashiels take the A7 for Edinburgh. After approx. 2 miles look out for an advertisement sign for Golf Club and when you see a roadside parking area on the right you have reached the entrance to the club immediately on the left. Take care at this junction as A7 traffic in both directions is very fast.
