  1. Reserve Claret A.C., Du Long Freres et Fils   1997   £12.95
    Founded in 1873, this well - respected Bordeaux shipper has five generations of experience in producing quality Clarets. A full - bodied wine with a good balance of fruit and tannin. At its best with red meat or poultry dishes. Our House Claret!

  2. Chateau Francs La Comptesse, Cotes de Francs   1994   £12.95
    the Cote de Francs region is situated to the East of the town of St Emilion and their wines are a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine makers prefer to use a good deal of Merlot to make a softer but still full - bodied wine. This is a typical example of the quality which they produce!. try with lamb or grilled steak

  3. Chateau Guionne, Cotes de Bourg   1997   £14.25
    Listed in Sotheby's World Wine Encyclopaedia under - "The best Chateau of Bourg" with the comment - "Easy drinking wines, full of attractive Merlot fruit, giving a good juicy flavour and some finesse." Excellent with red meats and cheese.

  4. Chateau St Ahon, Cru Bourgeois   1994   £20.95
    This appellation has many high quality Cru Bourgeois. Chateau St Ahon is no exception - with an intense bouquet combined with a superb balance of fruit and tannins. Marvellous with lamb!

  5. Chateau Gravet, Grand Cru, St Emilion   1993   £21.25
    A fine wine produced mainly from Merlot grapes. This is one of the smallest vineyards in the region with only 18 acres under vine. The owner, Jean Faure, takes great pride in producing quality wines that are well - coloured, full of rich flavours, finely balanced, long and supple. Enjoy with game, grilled meats and cheeses.
