| The Smugglers Inn |
The original Smugglers Inn dates back to 1300. Most of the hotel is over 300 years old and is now classified by the Secretary of State for Scotland as a building of historic interest.
Situated in the Royal Burgh of Anstruther, in the East Neuk of the Kingdom of Fife, the Inn overlooks the old Harbour on the River Forth. It is surrounded by some of the best Golf Courses in Scotland and the world famous Royal and Ancient Golf
Club in St Andrews is only nine miles away. Balcomie Links (18 holes) at Crail five miles away is a first class course. The local course of 9 holes is enjoyed by many people who find playing beside the sea a pleasant way to spend a few hours.
The East Neuk is one of the sunniest and driest regions of Scotland, full of old-world charm and friendly people, which makes it an ideal holiday centre. The Inn itself is pleasingly decorated, all nine rooms have central heating, direct dial telephones,
tea & coffee making facilities, colour TV and private Bath/Shower rooms. The Residents Lounge is unique with fires to add to the comfort. The cuisine and wines are second to none in the district and our dining room is the popular place for people from a very large area to come for a meal and to entertain their friends.
