Farthingstone is enfolded between two woods, at he head of a picturesque valley, deep in the beautiful and gently rolling Northamptonshire countryside.

opened in August 1973, Farthingstone was developed from rough pasture surrounding Manor Farm. This challenging Championship course now extends 6299 yards from the competition tees.

Its eclectic conception and development have ensured that its character is not that of the generic, market research positioned facility that many new courses have become. Instead , Farthingstone is a unique, unusually located, and beautifully tranquil course.

As a consequence it is neither 'chimney pot' positioned, nor is it 'American styled'. the course has been designed utilising the natural form and features of the land, it is not a course suffering and artificial, false landscape, created by modern construction machinery. Farthingstone's design and its natural, organic development have ensured that the natural features and forms of the land have been retained and made use of, to test and challenge your golfing skills.

The course itself boasts pitching and putting greens, an extensive practice area, an indoor video teaching room, not to mention the large, well equipped Pro-shop. Farthingstone's on course facilities also boast a comfortable sixteen bedroom hotel, our charming and welcoming bar for that relaxing drink after your round, or alternatively you can choose from the considerable menu in the hotel restaurant.

Additional facilities which can be enjoyed by our guests and visitors are the snooker rooom and squash court, all of which are on the site.
