Hinckley Golf Club, Hinckley

Golf was first played in Hinkley on Burbage common in 1894. The course we play today was opened in 1983 incorporating two holes and three greens of the original course thus keeping the bond between the old and the new.

The parkland course, which meanders round Burbage woods, offers many interesting features. Water comes into play on several holes. The front nine is notable for its three testing uphill par ofurs of over four hundred yards, and the first three holes on the back nine introduces you to Hinckley's own "amen corner". A continuing challenge brings you finally to the par three 18th where, more often than not, with driver to hand, you play up to the extensive clubhouse for a well-earned drink.

Hinckley golf club has developed an excellent reputation around the midlands as a fine test of golf and is regularly used for county events as well as midland PGA venue on several occasions.

The staff at Hinckley golf club understand the importance of fine food and good service which combinerd with our refreshing hospitality makes for an enjoyablem and successful day. We employ our own head chef and can accommodate numbers up to 150.
