Birstall Golf Club, Leicester

Birstall Golf Club was founded in 1901 by a group of local enthusiasts, the most influential being Mr Charles Bennion, a greatly respected local businessman and benefactor, who later in 1928 gave Bradgate Park to the people of Leicestershire.

The course has developed over the years from a meadowland course characterised by the ridge and furrow undulations left behind by medieval farming to a parkland course of great beauty, overlooking the city of Leicester.

It is a well designed, testing par 70 with many mature trees and, whilst always interesting, it is relatively east walking.

Having in recent years, taken a very positive attitude to developing club amenities, we are now able to provide members and guests with the very best of facilities with brand new locker rooms, dining room and lounges. We also have a new snooker room boasting 2 full size tables, plus pool, darts and chess. The Council meeting room is an ideal size for company seminars and private meetings.

All of these are supported by first class cuisine and bar facilities enabling us to provide a comprehensive package of Golf and catering - ideal for playing members, social members, societies and corporate entertaining.
