St Annes Old Links Golf Club |
Old Links is a championship golfcourse which was established in 1901 and today it still plays host to some of the qualifying rounds of the British Open Situated on the breezy Fylde Coast it has actually got 19 holes but obviously only 18 of which are used at any one time. The "Old Links" refers to the first 9 original holes a small part of which still remains to this day. The short ninth is a classic hole, which has been copied by several courses in America after Bobby Jones visited the club at the time of his Open victory in 1926. The club requires smart casual dress and societies are welcome. All bookings must be made via the secretary on 01253 723597. |
