Blackpool Stanley Park Golf Course

Stanley Park Golf Course was designed by the world famous architect Doctor Alister McKenzie, whose other designs included Augusta National and Royal Melbourne. The course was opened in 1925. Covering an area of 101 acres, is 6048 yards long and was designed to exploit the natural picturesque features of the terrain, which is varied and undulating without being hilly. The course is managed by a dedicated golf maintenance team who operate within Blackpool Council's Parks and Green Environment Service.

There are an abundance of natural hazards in the shape of grassy pits, ponds and open dykes to add to the interest the play. The course is also testing enough to pull out the best game from first-class players. At the same time, the course is also ideal for casual or less experienced golfers.

The club house was established at the same time as the course and has a current membership of over 650. There are sections for gentlemen, ladies, seniors and juniors. Competitions for all sections are played weekly throughout the year and Open Competitions are also held by the club during the summer season. Membership for all sections are available and are at very competitive rates. The club hold numerous member and guest functions throughout the year taking advantage of the club's excellent bar and catering facilities. The club house and car park are situated within the boundary of Stanley Park, North Park Drive.
