Hurlston Hall Golf Club

The course is situated in an area of rich golfing tradition and playing here is a must. A round is very much an experience not to be missed and some of the premier courses in nearby Southport now have a major rival on the doorstep that is certainly out of the top drawer. "The Hurlston development is quite simply superb". (Neil Barker in Golf Guide.)

The eighteen hole parkland golf course designed by Donald Steel, was opened in Spring 1994. It is situated on 135 acres of gently undulating land forming part of the West Lancashire plain with views across Lancashire to the Pennines and to the Bowlands Fells. There are seven lakes and two brooks on the course. Hurlston Hall Golf Club has been designated by the English Golf Union the official Regional Training Centre for Juniors in the North West.

The course is of championship standard with excellent variation and it can test the mettle of the strongest player. Its varied and superbly manicured fairways provide a welcome pattern and route to greens that are rolling, undulating and need to be read carefully.
