ABOUT THE COURSE
Set in 236 acres of parkland with views of the Forest of Bowland and the Bleasdale Moors, the challenging Heron's Reach course is rapidly maturing into a true test of golf players of all abilities, a tribute to the original design by former Ryder Cup stars Peter Alliss and Clive Clark and the investment by its owners, De Vere Hotels. Heron's Reach, where water comes into play on a remarkable 12 holes, has a lot to live up to as the north west coast and the Open Championship are synonymous with host courses like Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham St. Annes nearby.
Three professional championships were hosted on the course in 1997 along with hundreds of corporate and society golf days, making this one of the most popular golf courses in the area.
The 6,461 yard golf course is the focal point for a magnificent four star De Vere golf and business resort which features unrivalled golf and leisure facilities including a driving range, putting and chipping areas, golf shop and bar.

A well struck shot must hit the green first time. For anyone not familiar with Augusta, this is the Fylde Coast version, and just as heart breaking! The outward journey is completed by reaching the picturesque ninth green. On this hole, your driving with Blackpool's world famous Tower in your sights. Two good shots onto the final green means you can enjoy a rewarding finish to your round on a course that grows in reputation every time it is played.
