Peel Golf Club passed its centenary year in 1995. It has developed over the years from a few holes cut into sheep grazing land to one of the finest courses on the Isle of Man. It is an excellent example of a Braid course that still exhibits its early design
The numerous planted trees have matured to give many of the holes a woodland appearance. Others edged by gorse and bracken have a links course feel. Where ever you play, the views of the surrounding countryside are excellent and when the gorse comes into full bloom one of the prettiest.
The course is very challenging with some imaginatively positioned and contoured greens and presents a stout test of golf in spite of it's modest length of 5850 yards. Accuracy is the key word which must be kept in mind when playing if you are going to challenge the course record of 64 gross.
Other facilities at Peel Golf Club include a very welcoming clubhouse with dining facilities, a well stocked Golf Shop, a large practice ground as well as a practice putting green.
