Helsby Golf Club, Cheshire

When you visit Helsby Golf Club you are assured of a warm and friendly welcome. The club was founded one hundred years ago and boasts a course and facilities anyone should be proud of.

Originally designed by James Braid, Helsby is a gentle but challenging parkland course of 18 holes, par 70 measuring over 6200 yards from the white tees, 6000 from the yellows and over 5300 for the ladies with a par of 73. The last 6 holes are reputed to be among the most difficult in Cheshire, with the last being a par 3 of 205 yards (par 4 for ladies - 239 yards) to a narrow green guarded by two bunkers.

Over many years, innumerable members visitors and golf societies have enjoyed the courteous attention and excellent service which only experience and diligence can achieve. At Helsby these standards are carefully maintained and have become so well known within the golfing fraternity that society secretaries book well in advance of their inevitable return. Societies may book for Tuesday's and Thursday's and individual visitors on any weekdays.
