Alder Root Golf Club, Cheshire

Alder Root Golf Club was built in 1991-92 on 55 acres of grade 2 agricultural land, one of the very first golf courses to be built on this grade of land, the result is a very fertile fast draining course.

Three acres of existing woodland have been complimented with a further 9,000 trees and shrubs which are maturing very quickly indeed.

Alder Root is quickly getting a reputation as being one of the most tight 9-hole courses in Cheshire. As the trees mature, the fairways narrow and with several water hazards around the course, it is without doubt a thinkers course.

The clubhouse is of traditional brick. To the ground floor there is a pro's shop and changing facilities. This leaves the whole of the first floor for the lounge bar, with a patio area to the front of the building which overlooks the 9th green.

All in all Alder Root is a modern comfortable club with a nice atmosphere and welcomes golfers with open arms.
